Twin's Soccer Wins Second Straight

The Twins women's soccer team traveled north to take on the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves for the first time this season. The Twins came into this one fresh off a big win against Word of Life. The Timberwolves have won just one compiling a 1-8-1 record this season.

The Tiberwolves scored the early goal to get the lead in the first ten minutes. Once again, the Twins were able to fight back to tie it up just six minutes later with a goal from Freshman Jenna Lashua. Fellow Freshman Jenna Quick picked up the assist. The same pair scored again later in the half to put the Twins in the lead for the first time in this contest. A late first half goal from Freshman Chandler Hoose put the Twins in the driver's seat with a 3-1 lead heading into halftime.

The Twins didn't get as many shots off in the second half as they tried to protect the lead. About midway through the second half, the Timberwolves scored to get the game to within one. The Twins battled to keep the ball out of the zone till the final horn sounded. The Twins walked away with a 3-2 victory over the Timberwolves.

Freshman Jenna Lashua was the leading scorer for the Twins with two goals in this contest. She also picked up her team leading third assist of the season. Freshman Jenna Quick got her first two assists of the season. Freshman Chandler Hoose picked up the game winning goal in this one for her second of the season. In goal for the Twins was Sophomore Keegan Deyo. She made six saves on eight shots to get the win.

The Twins will be on the road again Thursday Ocotober 17th. They will travel to take on the Word of Life Huskies in their second matchup of the season. That game will have a start time of 4 pm.
