Twins Winning Streak Snapped

Both the men's and women's basketball teams took the bus trip to North Country Community College for a conference matchup.

 The women's team had a nine-game win streak on the line going into this matchup.  They came out with some fire as they took the lead in the first quarter, 20 – 10.  A big second quarter for the North Country Saints tied it up at 33 going into halftime.  It was in the third quarter that the Saints took a commanding lead into the fourth quarter.  The Saints scored 27 points to the Twins 13.  The Twins fought back in the fourth, but the lead would stay with the Saints.  The Twins fall to North Country Community College in their first loss since November.  The Twins shot only 35.8% from the field which is far below their average for the season which is at 43.3%.  Sophomore All'aha Albright led the scoring for the Twins with 20 points and eight rebounds.  Sophomore Tanisha Edge scored 17 points with six assists, five rebounds, and four steals.  Freshman Daniella Weinschreider contributed 12 points and three rebounds in the loss.

The Twins will look to bounce back when they hit the road again to travel to Clinton Community College.  The Twins will take on the Cougars on February 2nd at 5 pm for the women's game and 7 pm for the men's game.
