Edge Receives NJCAA Honors and Hits Milestone

Tanisha Edge has been a standout player for the Twins all season and received national recognition recently.  She was named the NJCAA Division III Player of the Week.  This comes shortly after she received the regional player of the week award for NJCAA Region III.  She received these awards after her stellar performances in last week's games.  In the Twins game versus Herkimer, Edge scored 35 points along with eight assists and six steals.  The Twins next took on SUNY Adirondack.  Edge dropped 27 points with 10 steals, nine rebounds, and eight assists.  She would complete the triple-double to very next game when the Twins took on Fulton-Montgomery Community College.  Edge scored another 35 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists for a triple-double.  Throughout last week Edge averaged a whopping 29.3 points per game and 5.6 steals per game.  She sits sixth in all of Division III in points per game with 24.7 this season.  Edge continues to lead the Twins to victories as they sit in second place in Region III. 

In the Wednesday, January 24th game against Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Edge notched her 1,000th career point on a 3-pointer in the third quarter.  

Edge and the Twins will be traveling to North Country Community College January 28th for their next contest.  They will be taking the court at 1 pm.  Below is the link to the Player of the Week website.
