Weinschreider Scores Season High in Win Against Herkimer

The Twins took on the Herkimer Community College Generals in conference action Thursday.  The women's team went into the game with a five-game win streak and looked to make it six in a row.  A large amount of three-pointers put the Twins ahead in the first quarter.  The Twins kept the hot hand and stretched the lead going into halftime, 51 – 19.  Shooting over 50% from the three-point line and over 55% from the field, the Twins cruised to victory.  Freshman Daniella Weinschreider scored a season high 24 points.  She has combined to score 43 points in the Twins last two games.  Weinschreider also finished with four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.  Freshman Anyla Harper shot 50% from the three-point line for 14 total points and neared a double-double with eight rebounds.  Sophomore Tanisha Edge lit up the scoreboard with 35 points scored with eight assists, six rebounds, and six steals. Freshman Britney Brazela also contributed 13 points in the win over Herkimer.  The Twins will take the court once again on Saturday January 20th.  They will be taking on the SUNY Adirondack Timberwolves at home.  Women's game starts at 1 pm and the men's game starts at 3 pm.
