Twins Victorious Behind Edge’s 28 points

The Twins began the new year with a home game against the nearby Hudson Valley Community College Vikings on Tuesday.  This game kicked off the second half of the season.  The Twins high powered offense was lacking in the first quarter as they went down 23 – 16.  However, it picked up in the second quarter and the Twins took the half 41 – 37.  The Vikings kept it close in the third quarter, but the Twins would eventually run away with it by a final score of 84 – 69.  Doing it all was sophomore standout Tanisha Edge with 28 points, seven assists, six rebounds, four steals, and two blocks.   Freshman Casiris Ruiz had her debut as a Twin and scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals.  Freshman Daniella Weinschreider finished with a season high 19 points with five rebounds.  The Twins have now won five games in a row and will look to make it six at Clinton Community College January 13th.  The women's game begins at 1 pm and the men's game follows at 3 pm.
