Twins Surge Past Royals

The Twins took on the Schenectady County Community College Royals at home Sunday.  This would be the second Mountain Valley Conference matchup for the Twins this season.  An early 16 – 7 lead for the Twins put them in command.  The Royals showed some offense in the second quarter, but the Twins held on to a six point lead.  The Twins took that lead the rest of the way to win by a final score of 78 – 45.  Sophomore Tanisha Edge recorded a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds.  Edge also had seven assists, three steals and two blocks.  Freshman Daniella Weinschreider had a breakout game with 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Freshman Anyla Harper contributed nine points, eight rebounds, and three blocks in the win.  The Twins play again Tuesday November 14th at home against SUNY Broome.  The women's game starts at 5 pm and the men's game begins at 7 pm.
