Softball Loses on Road to Finger Lakes and Erie

The CGCC Softball team played its first games in almost four years this past weekend! Playing hard in their first time as a team on the field, the small team fell early to Finger Lakes and Erie in the four games of this weekends overnight trip. 

Madilin Green went 5 for 9 at the plate with 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 hit by pitch and 1 stolen base. Green ended the weekend with a batting average of .556, a slugging percentage of .556 and an onbase percentage of .667!

Alexandra Espel went 3 for 9 at the plate with 1 RBI, 1 walk, and 1 hit by pitch. Espel ended the weekend batting .333 with a slugging percentage of the same as well as an onbase percentage of .455!

Victoria Douglass went 2 for 8 at the plate with 2 RBIs, and a double while hitting .250, slugging .375, and an onbase percentage of .250!

Kaitlyn Stagno went 3 for 12 at the plate with 1 double. Stagno hit .250 on the weekend with a slugging percentage of .333 and an onbase percentage of .250!

On the mound, Jordan Wyant pitched in three of the four games! Pitching 12.0 innings, Wyant had 8 strikeouts!

The Twins will be back in action on Saturday April 1st when they host Corning Community College in their home opener! First pitch is scheduled for 1pm!
