The Basics

Game 1
Score:
Twins 0, Lazers 7
Records:
Twins 7-5 Overall, 0-2 MVCC| Lazers 14-6 Overall, 4-0 MSAC

The Lead: Onondaga held the Twins hitless en route to a 7-0 win in game one.  

How it Happened: 

  • Isabel Milazzo held the Twins not allowing a single hit in seven innings while striking out 10 to keep the Twins off the board.

  • After three scoreless innings, OCC had a leadoff single by Jazzy Powless in the fourth and with a single by Dona Egan and three stolen bases by Jazzy Powless, the Lazers took the lead 1-0.

  • The Lazers then added another six runs in the sixth to take the win 7-0, Lazers.

  • Kaylee Hoffman was credited with the loss giving up nine hits and seven runs in the complete game performance. 

     

    Game 2
    Score: Twins 7, Lazers 10
    Records: Twins 7-5 Overall, 0-2 MVCC| Lazers 14-6 Overall, 4-0 MSAC

    The Lead: The Lazers swept the doubleheader with an 10-7 win over the Twins in game two.  

    How it Happened:

  • The Twins battled with the Lazers each scoring two runs in the first inning.

  • The Twins came back stronger in the second with an RBI by Hailey Beaumont which drove in Claire Filak and Baylee Cox scored in Sydney Spohler adding two more runs for the Twins.

  • Both teams stayed scoreless until the fifth inning, the Lazers rallied in three runs advancing their lead 5-4, Lazers. The Twins fought back with one run scored in the seventh by Holly Kleinmeier to tie up the game 5-5.

  • However, in the eighth inning the Lazers came out firing on all cylinders at the plate hitting in five more runs ending the game 10-7, Lazers.

     

    Up Next: Columbia-Greene will travel to Mohawk Valley Community College on April 16th to take on the Hawks in a doubleheader at 3 & 5PM.
