The Lead: The Red Barons kept the Twins scoreless in a 1-0 win in the doubleheader opener.
How It Happened:

Corning jumped out with a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a 2B hit from Danielle Dille, a 1B hit and stolen base from Laura Tryon and a RBI from Leigha Jones which brought in Danielle Dille, giving the Red Barons one run.

Sophomore, Kaylee Hoffman struggled to find her groove in the first inning and gave up the one earned run.

It wasn't until the second inning that the Twins defense came out strong, holding the Red Barons scoreless the rest of the game.

However, the Twins offense was no match for the Red Barons and pitcher, Laura Burrell, kept the lead for Corning allowing no runs to be scored by the Twins.

Kaylee Hoffman had four strikeouts in game one, only allowing the Red Barons one run.

The Lead: Columbia Greene ends the doubleheader with a 9-3 win.
How it Happened:

The Twins came out firing away in game two right from the start. With a runner on second, Holly Kleinmeier hit a double scoring in Baylee Cox. Justine Albin then drove in Kleinmeier with a single to make it 2-1, Twins.

Both teams battled to put runs on the board. It wouldn't be until the fourth inning that the Twins would pick up two more runs, advancing the score 4-1, Twins.

The Twins picked up momentum and wasted no time putting runs on the board in the sixth and seventh innings.

Kaylee Hoffman hit a double in the sixth inning and with an 2B RBI from Kelsey Taylor and a RBI from Jaclyn Gehring, the Twins drove in two more runs. In the seventh, the Twins would add three more runs to end the game 9-3, Twins.

Claire Filak won the matchup for the Twins with five strikeouts, giving up only three runs to finish the game 9-3, Twins.
