Recap from Coach Dedrick:

"Well by just looking at the record from Myrtle Beach people may think it wasn't a very successful trip. We are a young team and there was a reason why we scheduled these very tough teams so early in the season. We definitely were battle tested and I think it opened the eyes of our team. These ladies battled in every game and have hopefully took away what they need to do to be successful. Every mistake we made down here was taken full advantage of by the opponent. We had some innings that hopefully we won't see the rest of the season. Our bats finally came alive the last two days and we began to play some very solid defense. I know the scores may not suggest it but our pitchers threw the ball pretty darn well but our defense just let them down. The last two days is more like how I think we can play beating two very solid teams. We look to carry this momentum back north as every game from here on out is a regional game."
