Weekend split for Twins

The Twins took on the Clinton Community College Cougars in the first of back to back games this past weekend. The Twins were 8-14 heading into their matchup against the Cougars. Clinton had lost their last five games. 

The Twins opened the game at a slow pace. This allowed the Cougars to take an early lead. They would take this lead into halftime, up 34-32. The Twins defense came through in the second half, holding the Cougars to just 27 points. The Twins were able to get ahead for the victory, 64-61. 

Sophomore Myles Ukoh reached a triple-double with 10 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 blocks. That is a career high in blocks for Ukoh. Sophomore Cameron Thomas led the Twins in scoring with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman Jason Davis shot the ball well finishing with 13 points and seven rebounds.

The next day the Twins would battle the North Country Saints. The Saints had lost three of their last four. 

The Saints came out hot in the first half. The Twins struggled to slow down their offense as the Saints took a commanding first half lead, 64-44. Another big half for the Saints helped them cruise to victory. The Twins struggled to get much of anything going as they fall, 119-80. 

Sophomore Zach Hedgepeth came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 19 points. Sophomore Cameron Thomas reaches a double-double scoring 17 points with 14 rebounds. Sophomore Kaijah Rodgers scored 17 points and nine assists in the loss. 

The Twins will take on The Hudson Valley Vikings Wednesday February 12th. This game will take place at Hudson Valley with a 5 pm start time.
