#4 Ranked Hawks Down Twins to End Semester

The Twins traveled to Mohawk Valley to take on the Hawks in their last game of the semester. The Twins were up for a tough battle as the Hawks came in ranked #4 in the NJCAA Division III. The Hawks have lost just one game and hold a 9-1 record this season. The Twins have struggled of late with just one win in their last six games.

The Twins came out firing away as they took on the top ranked team in the Region. They took a quick lead as the Hawks struggled to get anything to fall. The Twins held up the Hawks scoring taking a 12-2 lead. Despite this early lead, the Hawks would come back to tie it up and eventually take the lead. The Twins kept it close with the Hawks just barely holding on. The Hawks went on a run to finish out the second half to solidify the win, 99-86.

The Twins played well against the tough Region III opponent shooting 53.3% from the field. This is their highest team average in any game this season.  Freshman Rande Harper led the team in scoring with 24 points and six assists. Sophomore Myles Ukoh dropped 19 points and grabbed four rebounds. Sophomore Cameron Thomas picked up the double-double scoring 12 points with 11 rebounds. Sophomore Kaijah Rodgers continues to reach the double digits in assists with 15 to go along with his six points scored.

This was the last game for the Twins this semester. They will return for the second half of the season with a home game January 7th. They will take on the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings in a Mountain Valley Conference matchup. This game will tip-off at 1pm.
