Hoose and Rodriguez Named All-Conference

Mountain Valley All-Conference teams were released today, and sophomores Jordan Hoose and Tydrea Rodriguez were among the 15 players to make the list.

Sophomore Jordan Hoose, a Philmont native, was selected to first team all-conference.  With his first team selection, Hoose becomes the first men's basketball player since 2005 to be selected to the first team when Bobby Pandy was named Conference Player of the Year.  Hoose is averaging 13.8 points per game and 8.8 rebounds.  He also has 12 double-doubles on the season and was named Region 3 Player of the Week twice.

A native of Middletown, NY, Tydrea Rodriguez was selected third team all-conference.  Rodriguez is currently the Twins leading scorer, averaging 17 points and three assists per game.  He has scored in double figures in all but three games, and over his last nine games he is averaging 21 points per game.  Rodriguez was named Region 3 Player of the Week after averaging 22.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game in wins over Mohawk Valley CC, Clinton CC, and Schenectady CC.

Hoose and Rodriguez will try and lead the Twins to the playoffs for the first time since 2005 when they travel to Fulton-Montgomery CC tomorrow for their last game of the regular season.  C-GCC currently has an overall record of 16-12 overall, 12-12 in Region 3 and 10-7 in the MVC.
