Twins Take Down Saints

The Columbia-Greene men's basketball team beat North Country Community College 90-69 in their final home game of the semester.  Khalil Paul led the charge, scoring 18 of his 30 points in the second half.  Paul wasn't the only one with a hot hand, as the team netted 55 points in the second half to put away a talented Saints squad.  Cairo-Durham native Jonathon Halligan scored 10 points and contributed six rebounds.  Also helping the Twins to victory were Dienet Saint Jean and Kevin Phillips, who scored 13 and 10 points respectively.  Saint Jean pulled down seven rebounds while Phillips dished out 10 assists.  Head Coach Walter Rickard was pleased with his team's play. "I thought we came into the game very focused on what we had to do defensively against a very well coached team.  They have one of the best post players in Region 3 and Jon Halligan did a great job on him.  Then our offense woke up in the second half."

Columbia-Greene's record improves to 7-3 overall, 5-2 Region 3, and 2-1 MVC.

The Twins travel to Middletown, NY to take on the Colts of SUNY Orange on Thursday, game time 6pm.
