CGCC Esports will be attending Contender Collegiate Series featuring Rocket League. This will be the first LAN tournament in Columbia Greene Community College history, and it will be played on Saturday, April 13th. The tournament will feature local college esport teams such as Army West Point, Mount Saint Mary College, Monroe Community College, and Marist College. The tournament will be double elimination style where there is a winner's bracket and a loser's bracket. The event will be live streamed and will be linked on the CGCC Athletics twitter to follow along.

What Does LAN Mean?

LAN stands for Local Area Network which means that the computers that are being used for the game are all on the same network. This gives everyone a fair playing field and fun environment where all the esport athletes are competing next to each other.
