Siter Commits to Russell Sage College
Siter Commits to Russell Sage College

The Columbia-Greene Community College Baseball Team and it's coaching staff are honored to announce the commitment of sophomore captain Jake Siter. Jake officially committed to play baseball at NCAA Division III Russell Sage College this past January.

Jake, a pitcher-only, was called upon by the team this year to be it's utility player. Jake saw time on the mound for the Twins, while also playing various positions in the infield, outfield, and behind the plate! Jake had a very successful pitching outing against Oakton Community College, who at the time was ranked third in the nation for DIII JUCO. Jake threw three innings giving up no hits and no runs while striking out three batters! Jake saw 12.2 innings this year earning 18 strikeouts. Jake was one of the top three batters on our team earning twenty-four hits on sixty-eight at bats, eight runs scored, seven doubles, two homeruns, twenty-four rbi's, and eight walks. Jake ended the season with a .353 batting average, .430 on-base percentage, and .544 slugging percentage. In the field, Jake made fifty putouts, thirteen assists and one doubleplay. While catching for the Twins, Jake threw out five runners.

Jake's time as a Columbia-Greene baseball player was short but we are very excited to see him compete at the next level while pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Russell Sage! We wish him the best of luck in this next chapter of his life!
