Park's Two-Hit Game Not Enough for Twins
Park's Two-Hit Game Not Enough for Twins

On Friday, April 15th the Twins traveled to Mohawk Valley to take on the Hawks in a Region III doubleheader!

Richard Parks would get the ball for game one of the doubleheader and have an outstanding game on the mound. The Twins offense would give Parks an early 1-0 lead in the second inning and later increase the lead to 2-0 after five innings. Parks had his foot on the gas the whole game, keeping Mohawk Valley hitless through five innings! The Hawks would collected their only two hits of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning where they would eventually score four runs and take a 4-2 lead over the Twins. This would prove to be more than enough for the Hawks who would go on to win game one 4-2 despite being out-hit by the Twins six to two. Matt Damon went 1-2 at the plate and collected an rbi. Matt Bowes and Jake Siter would both go 2-3 at the plate with Bowes collecting a run and Siter collecting an rbi. Alex Curtis would go 1-3 with a run. Parks would finish the game throwing six innings giving up four runs on just two hits with two strikeouts!

Camden Redstone would get the ball for game two of the doubleheader. Mohawk Valley jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead through two innings. The Twins would collect a run in the top of the third but would remain scoreless throughout the remainder of the game, later losing to the Hawks 16-1. Matt Damon went 1-2 with a walk. Kasey Moore went 1-3 with a run. Jake Siter went 1-3 with an rbi. Alex Curtis went 2-2 for the game!

The Twins will host the Mohawk Valley Hawks on Monday 4/18! First game starts at 2pm with the second game starting at 4pm!
