Baseball drops Home Games Against Herkimer

Twins Baseball played the #3 nationally ranked Herkimer CC Generals yesterday on the home field and fell short both games. Game one was a close one with the final score of 4 to 1. Game 2 had the Twins in the lead until the fourth inning comeback from the Generals, ending the game with the final score of 11 to 6.

Game 1

Noah Ernst had a great effort on the mound, only allowing six hits and striking out nine batters in seven innings.

The lone run scored by the Twins came in the first inning on a passed ball.

Game 2

C-GCC built an early lead but Herkimer found a road to victory as they chipped away at the Twins lead.

The bottom of the first, C-GCC took the early lead, 1-0. The threat began with a double by Alec Reeves. Mike Bowes moved Reeves over to third on a ground out and Collin Lynk singled to score Reeves.

The Twins put up five runs in the second. The runs came from a RBI single by Reeves, a three run triple by Bowes, and a Wild pitch.

The C-GCC effort wasn't enough as Herkimer piled on the runs and the Twins were unable to answer.

Juan Trillo went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Twins. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Alec Reeves takes the loss on the mound after going six innings.
