Alex Espel
Softball
Alex is a member of the Twins softball team. A graduate of Catskill High School, Alex is currently in her sophmore year here at Columbia-Greene Community College where she is studying Individual Studies. Alex wears number 12 playing middle infield, third base, and catcher for the Twins and has been a big addition to the team last year!
Alex, named a team captain for her work ethic and committment has been an instrumental part of the softball programs rebuild!
Last season, Alex had 20 hits, 15 runs scored, 3 RBI's, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 walks, and 5 stolen base. She ended the season batting .333 with an on base percentage of .385 and slugging percentage of .433! Alex's best game so far came against SUNY Broome Community College! Alex went 3-4 at the plate with 1 run scored and 1 stolen base! We look forward to seeing Alex continue to excel this year on and off the field!
