CGCC Welcomes Sierra Mayo as the New Women's Basketball Head Coach

Columbia-Greene Community College is proud to announce Sierra Mayo as the New Head Coach for the CGCC Women's Basketball Program.

Sierra Mayo is a native of the capital Albany, NY, and attended Shaker Senior High School, where she played varsity basketball in the Suburban Council. In her freshman year of college, she attended the University of Albany and played on the women's basketball team in the American East Conference. For her sophomore year, she transferred to Northwest Florida State College to continue her basketball career. She would graduate with her associate's degree in sports science. She would then transfer to Indiana State University to finish out her athletic career and graduate with a bachelor's degree in criminology. Coach Mayo says, "I was eager to start my coaching career once after graduation. Which is why I am so excited to start my career at Columbia-Greene and thankful for the opportunity to be apart of a great community." We are all grateful to have Sierra on board and are excited to watch her begin her career here at Columbia Greene Community College.
