Women's Basketball Signs Madilin Green from Saugerties HS

Columbia-Greene Women's Basketball program would like to congratulate Madilin Green on signing her national letter of intent to play basketball for the Twins next season! Madi is the start of Columbia-Greene's Women's Basketball rebuild after a few years away.

Madi, a senior at Saugerties High School, is a three sport athlete for her high school! Madi spent three years with the Sawyers basketball program where she played power forward and helped her team to the sectional tournament. Madi also spent four years with the Sawyers golf team as well as the track and field team. During her four years on the track and field team, Madi spent her time as a sprinter/hurdler as well as a javelin thrower. She won the Tiger Relays for javelin in her freshman year as well as won the Section Nine Division One State Qualifiers for javelin in her senior year!

Outside of high school, Madi added yet another sport to her list by competing on a travel women's ice hockey team! Madi would be named the assistant captain during her three years of travel ice hockey! Madi would also play four years of travel basketball during her time in high school. As a student, Madi carried a 94% or roughly 3.9 GPA and was named a Scholar Athlete all four years of high school! In her free time, Madi enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and playing with her dog Otis!

While attending Columbia-Greene, Madi will be pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts - Math and Science and then transferring to SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry to study Ecological Engineering! We look forward to having Madi out on the court this year!
