Twins Softball Kicks Off 2023-24 Recruiting Class with Rhinebeck Outfielder

The Columbia-Greene Softball Program would like to congratulate McKenzie Capalbo on signing her national letter of intent to play softball for the Twins next year! McKenzie is currently a senior at Rhinebeck High School in Rhinebeck, New York and will be joining the Twins in the fall of 2023. McKenzie is the first signing of the CGCC Softball teams 2023-24 recruiting class!

While attending Rhinebeck High School, McKenzie was a three-sport athlete! McKenzie played four years of softball for the Hawks where she played numerous positions including all three outfield positions, shortstop, second base, and third base! In addition to softball, McKenzie also played basketball and volleyball while attending Rhinebeck High School! McKenzie and her team advanced to the 2021-22 Section IX Class C Semi-Finals game unfortunately falling one game short of playing for the championship! The switch-hitting outfielder brings three years of travel softball experience where she played for both the Dutchess Divas and the Mid-Hudson Mustangs!

"We are very excited to welcome McKenzie as our first signing of the 2023-24 recruiting class! We are looking forward to seeing how McKenzie can help in our softball rebuild next year and cannot wait to get started next fall!" said Coach Haley-Berry

As a student at Rhinebeck High School, McKenzie maintained a 3.30 GPA! In her free time, McKenzie enjoys hanging with her family and friends as well as going on hikes. While attending Columbia-Greene, McKenzie plans to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. We are looking forward to having McKenzie patrolling our outfield next year!
