Bittner and Popp Earn All-Team Conference Honors

Their season may be over but the Twin's softball awards continue to come in.  Pitcher and infielder D'Arcy Bittner and catcher Tori Popp have earned all-team honors for the Mountain Valley Conference.  For Bittner this adds to the stack of awards she has already received.  She was named NJCAA Division III Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 1 – 7. Later that week she was named the Most Outstanding Player for the Twins 2017 season.  She earned all these awards finishing the season with a .548 batting average and going 11 – 5 on the mound with a 3.14 earned run average.  Some of her pitching success was helped by catcher Tori Popp.  Tori Popp earned all-team honors at the catcher position.  She played in 24 games for the Twins this season. Popp finished the season as second on the team in put outs with 86 and had no errors for a perfect fielding percentage. She has flourished at the plate as well finishing the season with a .435 batting average and nine doubles.  Both Bittner and Popp have been standouts on the field this season and earned themselves a spot on the Mountain Valley Conference Softball All-Team.
