Bittner Named NJCAA Division III Player and Pitcher of the Week
D'Arcy Bittner led the Twins on a six game winning streak and into the playoffs. Although their season is now over, the awards keep coming. Bittner's accomplishments have granted her the honor of being named both the NJCAA Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for May 1st to 7th and NJCAA Region III Female Athlete of the Week for May 2nd to May 9th. Bittner started 5 of the twins last six games of the regular season and won all of them, going 5 – 0. Of those five wins, two were full game shutouts. She finished the week with an earned run average of 2.60 and 21 strikeouts. Bittner went 16 – 22 at the plate for an incredible batting average of .727. She finished the regular season with a final batting average of .548.
