Softball Sweeps Adirondack

The Columbia-Greene Community College softball team took on Adirondack CC, winning 13-5 and 6-1.  Freshman pitcher Brittney Willson went the distance in both games, giving up only four earned runs and striking out ten. 

Patti Cameron got the offense going, driving in three runs and scoring three runs of her own.  Nichole Paolino went 3-5 with four RBI, and Danielle Lown went 2-3 at the plate with three RBI. 

The mercy rule was used and the game ended after six innings.

In Game 2, the bats for the Lady Twins were a little quieter, but had the same results, a 6-1 victory.  Krysta Konderwich went 2-4 and scored two runs.  Hannah Simmons went 1-3 driving in two runs.  Paolino also contributed, going 2-2 with two RBIs and a double.

The Lady Twins improve their record to 7-2 overall and 7-1 in the Mountain Valley Conference.  They will host Fulton-Montgomery CC on Saturday for a double header beginning at 1:00pm.
