Twins Fall In Final Regular Season Matchup against Genesee

The Twins fell in the final regular season matchup against Genesee Community College; the final score was 65-71 in favor of the Cougars.

Before tip-off, Sean Haye (Catskill, NY), Chrischen Chung (Poughkeepsie, NY), and Jaidyn Hines-Perry (Kingston, NY) were all honored as sophomore athletes.

During the first half, the Twins controlled the pace and the scoreboard. Freshman guard Carmelo Ayala (Bridgeport, CT) helped out tremendously. He scored a quick ten points off the bench and had great defensive possessions. At halftime, our Twins were up 35-30 and looked great heading into the locker room.

The second half was controlled by the Cougars. Slowly, the Cougars crawled their way back into the game. With about 14 minutes left to go in the game, the Cougars tied it up. From that point forward, the Cougars never relinquished control. Sean Haye (Catskill, NY) poured in nine points to keep Genesee within striking distance. However, the Twins could not get back in front, and the final score ended at 65-71.

The Twins now must wait until Thursday afternoon to figure out the playoff seeding.
