Twins Last Week Stretch
Twins Last Week Stretch

Starting off last Thursday at Fulton-Montgomery, our twins came out to a good start. In the first half, our Twins fought hard with a handful of threes from multiple players, including Chris Barraco, Jacob Mance, Chrischen Chung, and Aaron Stewart. Along with those three's came a tough team defense and hard-fought 50/50 balls. At half, the twins ended up being down one. In the second half, the hot hand from three dissipated, and a 1-3-1 defense led to limited paint touches. The Twins dropped the matchup against the Raider's 79-62.

Following the game at Fulton-Montgomery, our twins had an away trip to visit the North Country Saints. Starting off with North Country, our twins stayed competitive in the first half. They went into halftime down five but were sticking with the Saints and going shot for shot. Chrischen Chung hit two big threes, and Lavon Fernandez had a dominant first half. Lavon got to the rim at will and continued to finish right over top of the defenders throughout the game. Lavon ended the game with 21 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and two steals! In the second half of the game, our twins continued to fight. They kept working on creating good looks and tough defense. While they did continue to find good looks, the shots just didn't end up falling. The Saints went on a massive run that left the score 67-49 with ten minutes remaining. The Twins ended up falling to North Country 90-74.

The final game of the weekend came against the Clinton Community College Cougars. In the first half, our Twins held strong trading baskets back and forth with the Cougars. With 10 minutes left, the Cougars started to pull away, leaving the halftime score at 31-50. Until around the 15-minute mark, the Cougars continued their onslaught of offensive and defensive pressure. In the last 15 minutes of the game, our twins fought back. With a minute remaining, our Twins cut the lead to 8 points.

The Twins are back tomorrow (12/5/23) against Mohawk Valley Community College at home. The game has been rescheduled for 6 p.m.
