Conor Maisch Named Head Coach of Men's Basketball Program

Columbia-Greene Community College is proud to announce Conor Maisch as the New Head Coach for the CGCC Men's Basketball Program.

Born & Raised in Kingston, NY and a graduate from John A.Coleman Catholic High School in Hurley, NY, Coach Maisch brings a lifetime of experience to our program. Coach Maisch started his playing career at the Community College level having played at Hudson Valley Community College, and then took his playing career onto Utica College. He then started his coaching career around 2017 helping train and develop local basketball players in Ulster County.

Coach Maisch comes to us after spending the past 2 seasons at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY as an assistant coach. He helped lead the Men's Basketball Program at Dutchess CC to their 1st regional championship, and the 1st National Tournament appearance in school history. He also helped the development of multiple student-athletes during his time as a coach. Helping over 10+ student-athletes move on from the community college level to the 4-Year level. Coach Maisch also helps with various clinics, and camps locally.

During his time as a player, he was named to All-Conference 3 separate times, and 1st Team All-Conference one time. As a Junior at Utica College, Coach Maisch was honored by the NCAA as the leader of 3-Point Percentage (52.8%) for all Divisions 1,2, and 3. Coach Maisch had career averages of 16ppg, 7rpg, and a career 47% 3-Point Shooting Percentage.
