Twins Fall to #5 Ranked Hawks

The Twins were back at home Wednesday night for a tough matchup against the #5 ranked Mohawk Valley Hawks. The Hawks have lost just two games this season with an eight-game win streak on the line. The Twins come fresh off a win at North Country.

The Twins offense matched the Hawks to start, with teams trading baskets. Both teams were dominant on the offensive side. The Twins struggled to hold back the Hawks from taking the lead into halftime, 57-48. The Twins offense continued to work efficiently but it wasn't enough to stop the Hawks high powered offense. The Twins ultimately took the loss, 120-100.

Sophomore Zach Hedgepeth led the scoring for the Twins off the bench with 26 points with five three-pointers. Sophomore Anthony Diaz was on fire and finished with a season high 21 points with five three-pointers. Sophomore Cameron Thomas finished with 18 points in the win.

The Twins next contest will be this Saturday February 8th. They will take on Clinton Community College at 1pm. The very next day, the Twins will be back in action to take on North Country Community College for the second time this year. This game will be at home with a 2pm tip-off.
