Twins Take Care of Royals on the Road

The Twins traveled to take on the Schenectady County Community College Royals yesterday. This game was supposed to take place Tuesday but was pushed back till Wednesday due to the snow storm. The Twins defeated the Royals early in the season. The Royals were 0-8 heading into this contest, still looking for their first victory.

The Twins came out of the gate hot, shutting down the Royals offense to take a commanding lead. The Twins were in control at halftime, 34-22. The Royals put together a big second half with 39 points. However, the Twins still outscored the Royals with 43 second half points. The Twins cruised to their fifth victory of the season, 77-61.

Freshman Rande Harper led the team in scoring with 29 points, five assists, and five steals. Harper shot an incredible 71% from the 3-point line going five of seven. Sophomore Myles Ukoh reached another double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Sophomore Kaijah Rodgers finished with six points, 12 assists, and six rebounds.

With this win, the Twins are back at .500 this season. It comes at a good time for the Twins that have lost their previous three. The Twins will be back on the road to finish out the semester. They will play two games on their upcoming road trip. First, Saturday December 7th the Twins will travel to take on the Finger Lakes Community College Lazers at 2 pm. The next day they will make the trek to Corning Community College to take on the Red Barons at 12 pm.
