Twins Take Down Cougars

The Twins traveled to Clinton Community College to take on the Cougars this past weekend. 

This is the first matchup between the two Mountain Valley Conference teams this season.  The Twins came out with a commanding lead in the first half.  Dropping 44 points in the first half, the Twins had the lead going into halftime.  The Twins kept up the scoring in the second half as they cruised to victory, 90 – 71.  They defeated the Cougars behind a breakout performance by freshman Rayquan Bryant.  Bryant recorded a double-double with 27 points and 14 rebounds.  The rest of the scoring was spread all around the team.  Freshman Jacorey Nixon scored 15 points and had three assists and three steals.  Freshman Jahrice Ballard scored 12 points with six assists and four steals.  Freshman Donavan Williams scored 11 points with five assists.  The Twins will test their skills next against the #5 ranked Mohawk Valley Community College.

The Twins will be taking on the Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks February 7th.  The Hawks are currently the top team in the region on both the men's and women's side.  The women's game will begin at 5 pm and the men's game will follow at 7 pm.
