Red Barons Spoil Twins Streak

The men's basketball team traveled to Corning Community College to take on the Red Barons Sunday.  The Twins had a three-game winning streak going into this game after receiving wins against SUNY Ulster, Jefferson Community College, and Schenectady Community College.  The Twins came out and kept it close in the first half.  They would trail by only five at the half 37 – 32.  The Red Barons took over the second half however scoring 63 points.  The Twins would try to hold on but ultimately fell 100 – 76.  The 63 points is the most points the Twins have given up in a half this season.  Freshman Jamie Nurse was the leading scorer for the Twins with 18 points.  Sophomore Jordan Wright scored 14 points and was just shy of a double-double with nine assists and four steals.  Sophomore Matthew Smith scored 12 points and recorded four rebounds, two steals, and two assists.  The Twins will finish off the first half of their season at Finger Lakes Community College Saturday December 16th.  The women's game begins at 1 pm followed by the men's game at 3 pm.
