Men’s Basketball Defeated in OT

The men's basketball team hosted the Corning Community College Red Barons on Sunday.  The Twins fought hard in what was another tough battle but fell just short of victory.   After regulation minutes, the score was all tied up 60 – 60, sending the team to its third overtime game of the season.  In overtime however, only three points were secured as the Twins fell to the Red Barons by a final score of 71 – 63.  Sophomore forward Gary Buxton was the leading scorer for the Twins, scoring 19 points and grabbing nine rebounds.  Freshman Josiah McCall scored 16 points and grabbed four rebounds, and team leading scorer Tydrea Rodriguez scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds, and had seven assists.  Guard Jordan Wright contributed seven points and three assists.  Though heading into the holiday break with a loss, Twins will start the second half of the season on January 10th as they travel to rival Hudson Valley Community College to take on the Vikings at 7pm.
