Twins Drop a Game to Broncos
Twins Drop a Game to Broncos

C-GCC Men's Basketball couldn't pull away with a home court win against SUNY Delhi Broncos with a final score of 72-50.

The Broncos came out strong the first half which made the Twins adjust their defensive game strategy. Once the Twins' defense found its groove, the pace picked up on offense with a few three pointers and a layup from JT Elmendorf. Joe Murray's long arms helped for some good offensive rebounds. The first half stayed at a very fast paced and aggressive battle between the Broncos and Twins. The score went back and forth between the teams but Delhi pulled away, ending the half leading 36 to 22.

The second half started off with fouls on both ends. The fast paced game seemed to slow down while both teams struggled with scoring for the first few minutes. Turnovers and fouls helped the Broncos further their lead but the Twins did not give up. Chance Ryan and JT Elmendorf continued to hit a few three pointers in hopes of restarting their offensive drives. C-GCC's offense wasn't enough for the second half, ending the game 72 to 50.

Jon-Taylor Elmendorf lthe Twins with 20 points along with five rebounds, two steals, and one assist. Travis Hamilton added to the score with 10 points along with three rebounds and one assist. Malik Keita had a game high of 10 rebounds for the Twins.

The Twins will resume games after winter break. The first game back to start the spring semester will be Saturday, January 9th away at Clinton Community College with a time set to start at 2pm.
