Former Men’s Basketball Standout Going Dancing

Former men's basketball player, Robert "Robby" Jones, is headed to the Division III NCAA Basketball tournament.  Robby is a senior on the Westfield State Univesity men's basketball team, who over the weekend won the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference(MASCAC) tournament, beating Bridgewater State, 78-69.  He was also selected to the MASCAC Second Team All-Conference.  The C-GCC graduate was third on the team in points, scoring 11.3 points per game and was first on the team with 55 steals.  He also shot 80% from the free throw line. 

As a Twin, Robby played from 2009-2011.  He was a work horse, participating in 59 of a possible 60 games, starting all of them.  He averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals per game over his career.   After his eligibility was up, he volunteered as an assistant basketball coach while he finished his degree.
Westfield State will face off against Babson College in the first round of the tournament on March 5th.
