This past Saturday, the Twins faced off against one of the hottest teams in Region III, Finger Lakes Community College. After a hard fought battle, the Twins emerged with a 51-50 victory.

CGCC entered halftime with a ten point lead, but Finger Lakes came out strong in the second half and eventually took a four point lead with two minutes left.  After cutting the lead to one, Head Coach Walter Rickard called a timeout with 20 seconds left.  The next play Kevin Phillips drove to the middle of the lane and dished off to an open Jonathon Halligan for the game winning basket.

Phillips led the team with 11 points and added five assists, Halligan had 10 points with seven rebounds, and  Dienet Saint Jean filled the score sheet with 10 points, seven boards, three assists and five steals.

 C-GCC (4-1, 2-0 Region 3) hosts Broome Community College Tuesday at 6 p.m.
