Twins Baseball was on the road Sunday as they took on Mohawk Valley CC. The Twins came away with a split, losing game one 6-2 and winning game two 14-3.

C-GCC started game one off with a run in the top of the first off a double by Noah Ernst that scored Alec Reeves. MVCC answered back with two runs of their own later that inning. Columbia-Greene plated one more run in the second from a single by Reeves that platted Immanuel Folds. The game remained tied up 2-2 until the top of bottom of the fifth inning when MVCC scored a run on a steal home. The bottom of sixth inning, MVCC continued to score runs and the Twins were unable to answer.

Joe Murray was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in six innings, while striking out four batters.  

Mohawk Valley CC's Derrin Liley, Adam Chmiellewski and Collin Neer combined for five hits and four RBI's. Tommy Steinberg recorded the win for MVCC. He allowed two runs over seven innings, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Twins Baseball jumped out to an early lead on MVCC in the second game of the day and captured a 14-3 victory. C-GCC plated seven runs in the first three innings which allowed them to put the game away early.

The first inning lead was fueled by as a solo home run by Alec Reeves to deep right field. Noah Ernst and Collin Lynk were able to get on base from being walked and Dylan Snow found his way on after being hit by a pitch. This brought Jesse DelVescovo with the bases loaded and he played it smart at the plate as he was walked which allowed Ernst to score. Jeremiah Williams took one for the team as he was hit by a pitch to bring in Collin Lynk. MVCC had a pitching change as Justin Maldonado was up to bat. He was able to single to center field to score Snow and DelVescovo.

Noah Ernst grabbed the win on the mound. He allowed three runs over five innings. Ernst struck out five, walked two, and only allowed four hits.

Twins Baseball Lynk, Ernst, Reeves and Maldonado combined for seven hits and seven RBI's.

Conor Casey took the loss for MVCC. He lasted just one-third of an inning. Casey waked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

Columbia-Greene Community College Baseball returns to the field on Tuesday, May 10th at home versus Schenectady County Community College with first pitch set to start at 2 PM. Go Twins!
