Mike Jacobsen (Claverack/Taconic Hills H.S.) got his sophomore season off on the right foot at the plate and on the mound.  Against Ocean County College he pitched 7 innings, only giving up four hits and one earned run.  He also had six strikeouts in the game.  He started the season hot at the plate, going 5-10 with a double and an RBI over four games. For his efforts, Jacobsen was named Region III Male Co-Athlete of the Week.
