Two Twins Earn Athlete of the Week Honors
NJCAA Region III awarded two Twins athletes Athlete of the Week honors for their performances this past weekend. Softball player, Kaylee Hoffman, and track runner, Adam Beach, both received this honor.
NJCAA Region III has named, Sophomore, Kaylee Hoffman Athlete of the week. Kaylee is a pitcher and outfielder for the Twins Softball team. Hoffman won the Twins season double header opener against the Bergen Bulldogs having seven strikeouts allowing just a single earned run off five hits giving the Twins a 5-2 victory. At the plate with a 1.000 slugging percentage, the Stottville, N.Y native is an offensive powerhouse for the Twins this season. She delivered 4 RBI's, scored three runs and hit a homerun in each game against the Bulldogs.
Adam Beach earned NJCAA Region III Athlete of the Week honors for the week of 3/18. Beach is a Freshman on the Twins track and field team. He earned this honor based on his performance at this past weekend's track meet at St Josephs College. Beach competed in two events and placed in the top three in each one. First up for him was the 1500 meters race. He finished in third place with a time of 4:40. This was just seconds from the first-place finisher. Then in the 800 meters race, Beach finished in second place just a second behind first place. He crossed the line with a time of 2:14. This is the first time Beach has earned athlete of the week honors.
