NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award Recipients
The National Junior College Athletic Association has awarded honors to student-athletes attending NJCAA institutions all over the country for their academic achievements. Five of Columbia-Greene Community College athletes have made the list! Among this year's recipients are C-GCC women's cross-country and outdoor track & field athlete Shannon LaChance, baseball's Immanuel Folds, Mercury Mason and Alan Smith, and men's basketball player Chance Ryan.
Folds, LaChance and Mason received the Exemplary Academic Achievement Award. Athletes Ryan and Smith were awarded the Superior Academic Achievement Award.
The NJCAA Exemplary Academic Achievement Award is given to a student-athlete who has a career GPA of 3.60 to 3.79. The NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement Award is given to a student-athlete who has a career GPA of 3.80 to 3.99.
Congratulations to our student-athletes as they are recognized for their ability to achieve academic greatness while simultaneously participating in collegiate athletics. Go Twins!!
