Michael Alert, Men's Basketball

Michael Alert is a Sophomore on the Twins men’s basketball team. Alert is a local, having graduated from Hudson High School in 2016.  He transferred to Columbia-Greene Community College after spending some time at Utica College. He currently is an independent study major here at Columbia-Greene.  Alert was a leader on the 2016 Hudson High School basketball team that won the section 2 championship. He averaged about 12 points for the Bluehawk’s in their run to the State Championships. Alert played especially well in the state tournament, as he was named to the all-tournament team.  He is now a leader of the Twins basketball team that is currently 5 – 1 to start the season. He has started every game for the Twins this season. Alert has the scored the second most points on the team with 90 total points. Averaging 15 points a game. He also has the second most rebounds on the team with 17 rebounds.  Alert’s best game this year came at SUNY Broome. He scored a season high 34 points and picked up six assists in the Twins victory.
