Men’s Basketball

Bright Afful is a forward on the Twins men’s basketball team. He is a graduate of Middletown High School in Middletown, NY. Afful is currently in his last semester as an independent studies major. He was a big part of the Twins basketball season this year.  He stands as one of the few that have started almost every game for the Twins this season. This was Afful’s second and final season with the Twins basketball team. He came into this season showing improvement. His points per game average jumped to 7.8 points per game and his free throw percentage was up nearly 10% from last season.  Afful reached a double-double four times this season, all coming in the second half of the season. He really picked it up in the second half as he went from 6.07 points per game in the first half to 9.33 points per game in the second half. Afful’s top performance this season came at North Country Community College. He dropped a season high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was all over the stat sheet as he also picked up three assists and two steals. When asked about his favorite moment of the season, Afful responded “ My favorite moment this season was when I went behind the back between two people and threw down the one handed Jam”.  Below are some fun facts about men’s basketball player Bright Afful.
