Twins Held Scoreless Against Vikings

The Twins women's soccer team hosted Hudson Valley Community College in Mountain Valley Conference action Tuesday afternoon. The Twins have struggled this season with a 1 – 9 record heading into this contest. The Vikings came into this one with a 5 – 3 record this season.

It was a bit of back and forth to open the game with both sides getting chances. The Vikings opened the scoring however with a goal in the 12th minute. A little later in the half, the Vikings struck again to go up 2-0. The Twins put up a big push in the second half but it wasn't enough as the Vikings go on to win 4 – 0.

Sophomore Keegan Deyo was in net for the Twins most the game. She recorded 19 saves on 22 shots on goal before leaving the net to play forward the last ten minutes. Deyo also picked up a shot on goal while playing on the offensive side of the ball. Freshman Jessica Steinke hopped in goal for the Twins and allowed one goal on two shots faced.  

The Twins will be at home once again to take on the Word of Life – Davis College Huskies October 9th. This game will kick off at 3 pm.
