Twins Fall to Panthers

The Twins traveled north to take on the Tompkins-Cortland Community College Panthers. The Twins looked to win one after losing their last three. The Panthers started the season with a 1-2 record and looked to get back to .500 against the Twins.

It was all Panthers in the first half as the ball was in the Twins zone most of the half. Despite 18 shots from the Panthers, the Twins allowed just one goal in the half. The Twins were down but not out at halftime, 1-0. The Panthers continued to control the pace in the second half but the Twins got their chances. The Twins recorded two shots on goal in the second half to the Panthers 14. Despite all the shots in the second half, the scored remained the same. The Twins ultimately fell to the Panthers 1-0.

Sophomore goalkeeper, Keegan Deyo, kept the Twins in this one all the way through. Facing a high number of shots, Deyo made 19 saves allowing just the one goal. She is currently second in the region in total saves with 103 and seventh in save percentage at 81.7%.

The Twins fought through another tough loss. They will be on the road once again for their next game this weekend. They will travel to Onondaga Community College to take on the Lazers Sunday September 22nd. That game will begin at 1 pm.
