The Twins held off the Generals for the first nine minutes. Facing a high number of shots, the Generals eventually scored to give them a 1-0 lead. Facing a total 26 shots from the Generals in that half, the Twins allowed four more goals. The Twins were in a 5-0 hole at halftime. The Twins held the Generals to just eight shots in the second half. However, the Twins ultimately fell to the tough Herkimer team 7-0.
