Women's Soccer Falls Just Short in First Game

The Twins Women's Soccer club took on Word of Life Bible Institute in their first game as a club team yesterday.  The Twins have been practicing the past few weeks in preparation for this game.

The game was competitive from the very beginning.  The Twins struck first though with an early goal from freshman Katie Christman. The Twins would only have the lead for a little bit of time before Word of Life struck with a goal of their own.  Word of Life netted one more goal to take the lead going into halftime, 2 – 1.  The second half was uneventful as both teams struggled to score despite chances for both teams. 

The Twins ultimately fell to Word of Life by a final score of 2 – 1.  Katie Christman scored the lone goal in the Twins loss.
