The Lead: The Twins struggle to score runs as the Generals cruise to victory.
How it happened:
- Herkimer jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning.
- The Generals kept up the scoring with two more runs in the second inning to extend their lead.
- The Twins struggled in the field as they had five errors.
- The Twins picked up just two hits in the loss. Freshman Jenna Poulsen and Sophomore Jaclyn Gehring were the only two Twins to pick up a hit.
- Sohpomore Kaylee Hoffman pitched four innings for the Twins and allowed just four earned runs
Game Two
Score: Generals 8, Twins 0
Records: Twins 7-3, Generals 19-5
The Lead: The Twins kept battling in a tough game but ultimately fell to the Generals.
How it happened:
- Herkimer got out to an early lead once again with two runs in the first inning.
- The Twins struggled to get runners on, as just three batters go on base.
- The Twins picked up three hits and two walks in the loss.
- Freshman Claire Filak was the starting pitcher for the Twins. She went four innings and allowed six earned runs and walked three.
- Freshman Hannah Mawyin had a good game going two for two at the plate with two singles.
- Sophomore Baylee Cox picked up a single and a walk going one for two.
