Score: Twins 10, Lakers 2 

Records: Twins 6-0, Lakers 0-8

The Lead: Twins used a five run third inning en route to a 10-2 win over Finger Lakes in the opening game of the doubleheader.

Score: Twins 17, Lakers 4 

Records: Twins 6-0, Lakers 0-8

The Lead: Claire Filak allowed just four runs as the Twins swept the Lakers with a 17-4 win in game two.

 

How It Happened:

 

  • The Twins wasted no time putting runs on the board as they dominated the first inning, notching 5 runs in to place the Twins ahead 5-0.

  • Claire Filak kept the Lakers from scoring until they answered back in the third and fourth innings racking up 4 runs.

  • The Twins continued to fire on all cylinders at the plate in the fourth and fifth innings, picking up a total of 8 more runs, pushing ahead from the Lakers.

  • Claire Filak held the game to only five innings with five strikeouts, giving up just four runs. Filak won game two for the Twins finishing 17-4, Twins.

  • The Twins had a strong game at the plate in game two. Jenna Poulsen, Kaylee Hoffman and Kelsey Taylor delivered doubles. Baylee Cox (2), Jenna Poulsen (3), Kaylee Hoffman (3), Holley Kleinmeier (3), Jaclyn Gehring (4), Kelsey Taylor (2) all contributed with RBI's

 

 Up Next: The Twins are on the road to Monroe College on Thursday, April 4th and will return home for a doubleheader against Corning CC on Sunday, April 7th at 1pm &3pm.
