Twins Fall to Division II #14 Generals

The Twins traveled south to take on the SUNY Sullivan Generals Thursday night. The Generals came into this game with a 5 – 1 record this season. Their only loss coming at the hands of Mohawk Valley Community College. The Generals were ranked #14 in NJCAA Division II heading into this matchup.

The Twins started slow against the tough opponent, going down 6 – 0 early on. The Twins quickly turned it around with a 9 – 0 run of their own to take the lead. They held this lead, extending it to 23 – 16 at one point. The Generals stayed in it though and eventually took the lead with a big finish to the first half. The Twins were down 49 – 35 at halftime. It was mostly Generals in the second half with the Twins finding spurts of offense. The Twins fall to the #14 Generals by a final of 108 – 73.

Freshman Rande Harper led the Twins in scoring once again with 22 points and five assists. Harper currently leads the region in scoring with 22 points per game this season. Sophomore Cameron Thomas reached another double-double with 13 points scored and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Myles Ukoh also reached a double-double scoring 11 points with 11 rebounds. Sophomore Kaijah Rodgers continues to impress reaching 12 assists with nine points. Rodgers currently leads the nation in assists with 9.9 per game. 

The Twins will play their last home game of the season this Sunday November 24th. They will be taking on the Jefferson Community College Cannoneers at 1pm. After that, they will finish out the semester with four games on the road.
