Twins Dealt Loss in Battle Against Broome

The Twins men's basketball team took on SUNY Broome Tuesday November 12th. This was the Twins fifth straight home game, having won their last two. The SUNY Broome Hornets came into this matchup with an 0-2 record to start their season.

The game opened with the Twins taking a quick 5-0 lead. It was a lot of back and forth with the Twins holding the early advantage. The Hornets surged back going on a 13-0 run to take the lead 42-37. The Twins bounced back and trailed by just one at halftime 45-44. The second half opened with some more back and forth before the Hornets took a commanding lead, 73-57. The Twins went on their own run, outscoring the Hornets 16 to 0. This tied the game up 73-73. Despite battling back, the Hornets would put the game out of reach for the Twins in the closing minutes. The Twins lose this one 90-84.

Sophomore Isaac McIntosh led the Twins in scoring with 21 points and five assists. Sophmore Myles Ukoh reached a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Ukoh also picked up another four blocks. Sophomore Cameron Thomas earned a double-double for the fourth time this season. Freshman Jason Davis reached his first double-double of the season recording 13 points and 12 rebounds. 

The Twins will play their first games on the road this weekend. They will first travel to Cayuga Community College to take on the Spartans Saturday November 16th. That game tips off at 3 pm. Then Sunday November 17th they will travel to Onondaga Community College to take on the Lazers. This game begins at 1 pm.
